OTEC is pleased to announce organizational changes and new additions to the OTEC team to support the development of client relationships and services, workforce development, project proposals, as well as marketing and communications.
Luba Gavadzyn joins OTEC as Manager, Client Relationships. Luba brings an extensive background in customer service, with over eight years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. She is a certified Service Excellence Designated Trainer and has trained over 600 adult learners. At OTEC, Luba is responsible for managing project proposals and developing client relationships focusing on workforce development, academic training and corporate training. With over eight years of international work experience in teaching and training, Sepideh Gorjizadeh joins OTEC as Coordinator, Client Services. Sepideh is responsible for supporting the development of OTEC’s public sessions and client services. She plays a key role in coordinating online learning bundles, such as Service Excellence Dynamics and the emerit Training and Professional Certification Portfolio. Sepideh holds a Masters of Education from Memorial University in Newfoundland. She also obtained a Masters of Arts with a focus in English from the University of Pune in India. Jamie Witmeyer joins the OTEC team as Coordinator, Marketing & Communications. At OTEC, Jamie coordinates and creates marketing and branding activities including website and social media updates, communication pieces and promotional material. She is also responsible for supporting the branding goals of OTEC and providing support to the President & CEO with corporate and Board of Director communications and events. Jamie has gained diverse experience in the communications, digital marketing and travel industry. She holds a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies with specialization in Consumer Behaviour from Western University. After nine years, OTEC Senior Vice President, Wendy Paradis is leaving the organization to join the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA). “Wendy has used her senior management experience along with her extensive knowledge of the tourism, hospitality and healthcare industries to help grow OTEC into a leading training, consulting and workforce development organization,” states Victoria Behune, OTEC President & CEO. “Wendy has played a pivotal role at OTEC and I would like to thank her and wish her much success!”
