Tackle the challenges of organizational leadership with the new Leadership Boot Camp


OTEC launches innovative three day leadership boot camp

Known as a leader in hospitality, leadership and customer service training, OTEC has announced the LX Leadership Xelerator New Leader development program. To launch this program OTEC is introducing an innovative and engaging LX Leadership Foundations 3-Day Boot Camp. With the first session available in November 2016, OTEC will develop new, emerging or experienced supervisors and managers into exceptional leaders.
“Effective leadership is so important for the sustainability of any company” says Janet Morrison, Director, Learning & Leadership Excellence. “With our new leadership program, we are able to work directly with leaders and give them the tools they need to succeed.”
With the rise of millennials entering the workplace, many young workers are being promoted to management positions with little to no leadership training. OTEC has recognized the demands that come with being put in a leadership position and subsequently the importance of equipping supervisors and managers to effectively handle the challenges of leading teams.
OTEC has been working with the latest theories, practices and tools to develop this leadership program, utilizing the most up-to-date leadership strategies and industry trends. The intensive learning experience will take place over the course of three days. Participants will learn how to; leverage emotional intelligence, resolve conflict, coach and engage teams, sustain a culture of service excellence, develop leadership communication skills and more. Ultimately, the boot camp is designed to improve overall personal organizational effectiveness.
The first boot camp will be held at the OTEC Learning Centre from November 15-17, 2016 with a second session already scheduled on April 4-6, 2017. Organizations will also have the option  to arrange for a certified OTEC trainer to train their teams on location; and will be given the opportunity to work directly with OTEC to ensure their specific leadership challenges are met.
