As Disability Inclusion Business Advisor, Abby leads a new, innovative project Reimagine to Succeed – Bringing Diversity to Tourism &Hospitality, which will provide employer education, training and resources to build awareness and capacity for more diversified and inclusive recruitment and retention strategies for persons with disabilities.
Abby comes to OTEC from Autism Speakers Canada as Autism Response Team Coordinator, where she oversaw the Autism Response Team, an information line to support the autism community, and has developed and completed multiple programming projects to better serve the community. Having worked in the disability community for 16 years, she brings extensive experience in Crisis Prevention, mentoring, training, and behavioural change methodology.
Abby holds a B.A. in Psychology from Lakehead University and a Postgraduate Diploma of Behavioural Science Technician from George Brown College.
