Elayne Furoy

As a Director, Employment Solutions, Elayne is responsible for managing OTEC’s growing portfolio of sector-specific employment and training solutions. She also oversees all functional areas of the organization’s high-profile employment services strategies, ensuring that OTEC’s solutions are informed by innovative and leading-edge employment practices.

Prior to joining OTEC, Elayne held leadership roles within the employment and social services sector. She worked at Fleming College, an Employment Ontario service provider in the Kawarthas-Muskoka area, where she held the position of Manager, Employment & Career Services.  She has also held senior leadership roles in a variety of not-for-profit organizations with mandates of working towards safe and healthy communities through the delivery of support services, including counselling, housing and employment supports.  She also brings experience and training in community engagement and development, working with multi-sector stakeholders to address complex social issues through collaboration and service coordination.  She brings a passion towards increasing accessibility and equity for all.

Elayne holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Sociology/Psychology) from the University of Alberta. She recently concluded an Advanced Systems Leadership Executive Program at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
