Toronto, ON, November 13– The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Christensen as Senior Director, Learning Solutions, effective immediately. Susan, who has led OTEC’s Learning & Development department since 2022, will assume her new role as OTEC reaffirms its commitment to delivering innovative training and skills development programming for the tourism and service sectors.

Earlier this year, on behalf of OTEC, Susan was honoured with an Absorb Award at the Global Absorb Summit for its impactful advancements in training.

Rebecca Godfrey, Chair of the Board, shared, “We are delighted to welcome Susan to this new role. Over the past three years, Susan has transformed OTEC’s training and skills development programming. The board looks forward to working with her as she leads the OTEC team forward.”

Together, we are committed to a renewed focus: supporting Ontario’s tourism and service sectors with the very best training and skills development programming.”

As part of its commitment, OTEC will continue its efforts to support businesses and industry through Tourism SkillsNet Ontario (TSNO), delivering award-winning training programs, and fostering partnerships with service providers in communities across Ontario. OTEC’s programming is designed to enhance career growth and employment opportunities, with a particular focus on service excellence, leadership, and advanced social and emotional skills.

OTEC appreciates the continued support of its partners and stakeholders and looks forward to continued collaboration in the years ahead.
